balanced, with ripe apricot and peach
flavors dancing against clove and exotic
spices and fresh, citrusy acidity. Mineral
notes emerge on the finish. Ready to drink

sweeter than the Bernkasteler Badstube
Spatlese, but with mouthwatering acidity
and racy mineral notes that keep everything
in balance. Sweet peach, apricot and wildflower
honey note are lush and finish long. Ready
to drink now and over the next 12+ years.
(Weekend Wine 10/05)

Rich and ripe, with sweet, concentrated

Delicious! With racy citrus and juicy
peach fruit taking center stage, along
with flint and herbal accents. Ready to
drink now and over the next four years.
(Robyn's Picks, 04/04)
($72). This
is a clean, velvet-gloved punch of an
Eiswein. Wonderful acidity, just a touch
of grass, and waves of sweet peach and
pineapple (maybe even a touch of kiwi?)
combine to lovely results. Very nice lingering
finish, too! Drink now and for the next
five years. (Wine Tasting Party, 06/00)
($13). Simple but easy to like, with
juicy citrus and stone fruit flavors,
picking up a hint of mineral on the
moderate finish. Ready to drink now.
(World Wide Wine 10/05)
($150, 375 ml).
Rich dried apricot and peach fruit is
laced with caramel and orange zest and
honey flavors. Still shows a dash of racy
acidity on the sweet, syrupy finish. Ready
to drink now and over the next couple
of years. (World Wide Wine 10/05)

Complex aromas include roses, orange

an elegant, dry finish. Ready to drink
now and over the next five or six
years. (Robyn's Picks 06/06)

on finish reigns in ripe, lush tangerine,
peach and apricot fruit. Really good
with Indian curry. Ready to drink
now and over the next couple of years.
(Weekend Wine 05/05)
($26). A great example of
an off-dry Riesling with loads of
bright acidity and fruity freshness
to keep things balanced. Honeysuckle,
apricot, nectarine, juicy citrus --
all here in marvelous proportion.
Lush, focused finish. Ready to drink
now and over the next ten years. (Weekend
Wine 05/05)

and candied citrus. Racy acidity keeps
things focused and mouthwatering through
the complex finish. Ready to drink

($35). Wonderful flavors
of dried apricot, fresh peach, tangerine,
and honey combine with a bit of earthiness
to make a very enjoyable Auslese. A
big, velvety finish makes each sip better
than the one before. Excellent now,
and should cellar nicely for five to
ten years. (Wine Tasting Party, 06/00)
($22). Wow, this is
a knockout wine. It is an elegant balance
of sweet pineapple, tangy citrus, and
mineral. Its powerful flavor is
matched only by the lingering, on-and-on
finish. Excellent now and should age
nicely for at least four or five years.
